Analytics & cookies

Last updated: August 2026

LYNCE sets the cookies it needs to sign you in and to remember this choice. Everything else, all measurement, is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it back off at any time.

We never send your work to an analytics provider. This is enforced in code by an allow-list: an event carrying anything outside a fixed list of counts, buckets and category labels is discarded in the browser before it is sent.

The three categories

AnalyticsProduct and website measurement via PostHog (EU region): which pages are visited, which steps of a scan finish, where scans fail, and which campaign brought you here. Also Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager on our public pages only. Off unless you accept.Up to 1 year on this device
MarketingGoogle Tag Manager, and through it Google Ads conversion tracking: whether a visit that began with an advert ended in a signup or a subscription. It runs only on our public marketing, pricing, sign-in, sign-up and payment-confirmation pages, never on the dashboard, your projects, a scan, a report or a shared report link. What analytics measures

Page views and the route name (never the full URL of a report or an invite link); the marketing steps you reach; sign-up and sign-in completion; that a scan started, finished or failed, with the number of creatives and how long it took as ranges rather than exact figures; the categoryof a finding, for example “price” or “date”, but never its text; checkout and subscription changes; and your consent choices.

It also records the campaign, medium and referring website that first brought you to LYNCE, and the ones for your current visit. Advertising click identifiers such as Google’s gclidand Meta’s fbclid are deliberately not collected.

What it never measures

Uploaded images, artwork or PDFs. Image URLs and file names. Transcribed or printed copy. The text of any finding, correction or explanation. Report contents. Prompts sent to, or responses from, the AI models. Email addresses, names, phone numbers or payment details. Passwords or authentication tokens. Raw database identifiers. Unrestricted error messages.

PostHog’s AI observability integration is deliberately not enabled, because LYNCE’s model calls carry customer creative content.

Session recording

Session replay is not enabled: no recording of your screen or your interactions is made, on any page, whatever you choose above. This holds for Google Tag Manager too: the container carries no session-recording tag, and it is not loaded at all on the upload, scan, project or report screens, so it could not record your work even if one were added. If that ever changes it will be limited to public marketing and sign-in pages, and this page will say so before it does.

How you are identified

Before you sign up you are an anonymous visitor with a random identifier stored on this device. After you sign in, measurement is attached to a one-way cryptographic pseudonym derived from your account id using a key held only on our servers. Your email address and your real account id are never sent to PostHog, and the pseudonym cannot be reversed back to your account by anyone holding only the analytics data.

Signing out, or withdrawing consent, clears that identity from this device.

Where the data goes

To PostHog, on its European infrastructure (eu.i.posthog.com). Your IP address is not stored against your profile. LYNCE is operated from Nicosia, Cyprus.

Changing your mind

Use to reopen the panel, here or from the footer of any page. Withdrawing Analytics consent takes effect immediately: capture stops, the identity is reset, and the stored identifiers and campaign record are deleted from this device. You can also clear this site’s data in your browser settings, which has the same effect and will cause the banner to ask again.
